I know I’m a bit late here with my vegan bulletproof coffee but I just wanted to share my thoughts about it.
Personally I don’t support any weight loss diets, especially low-carb diets. Original bulletproof coffee drink was designed for weight loss and is supposed to be a meal replacement. I find it completely unbalanced. Instead I drink it between meals when I feel like I need some help to stay focused.
The key ingredient in vegan bulletproof coffee is MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) oil. It is usually derived from coconut oil thereafter you can use it instead of MCT. Note that you’ll probably need more coconut oil cause it contains less medium-chain triglycerides.
It’s not recommended to add sweetener or milk that contains carbohydrates to a bulletproof coffee cause our bodies burn carbs before fat so all that oil could eventually end up somewhere around your waistline.
Therefore I use only 1 tablespoon of MCT oil in my drink and it helps me stay alert and concentrate without any side effects like jittering feeling. Besides that I can’t say anything good or bad about it.
So to make vegan bulletproof coffee just blend all ingredients in a blender on high speed for about 30 seconds until frothy.
Pour into glasses or mugs and enjoy!
